  • Are Shiatsu and Acupressure painful?
My work can be as deep or gentle as your body allows. The point of this style of massage is to help your body access a state of relaxation, which is where the healing takes place.
  • Do you offer Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage?
Shiatsu is different from Western techniques, like Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage — which focus on the problem and solution. Shiatsu, on the other hand, takes a more holistic approach to the body.
  • Do you use oil?
This style of Shiatsu traditionally does not use oil.
  • Is Acupressure similar to Acupuncture?
Both use the same system of energetic channels as a road map of the body. While acupuncture uses needles, acupressure exclusively uses hands.
  • What style of Shiatsu do you do?
I am trained in Zen Shiatsu, which was developed in Japan to combine Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Medicine, and psychology. It is rooted in the spiritual wisdom of Taoism and often evokes a trance-like state.
  • Massage with clothes on?
This type of massage is designed to be done over clothing. You will be clothed the whole time. I suggest wearing something loose fitting. Think what you would wear to work out or relax in.
  • Do you do erotic or tantric massage?
No. My work is therapeutic only. If you prefer that, I will gladly refer you to another skilled bodyworker who does
